My sister Chaya Miriam Ehrenkranz’s baby boy, Dovid Dov, was hospitalized for a few weeks for an infection. He just came home from the hospital, and is BH almost completely recovered.
Here is a cute poem which Dovid Dov wrote. No matter what one is presently going through, this is bound to bring a smile!
My Sagacious Advice for Babies in the Peds Department of Sinai Hospital

I’m writing here a useful guide,
To help all those youngsters similar to me,
Who end up in the hospital,
With pneumonia and RSV.
I’ll start by telling you about the nurses,
And what to do when they poke,
You scream really loud, right back at them,
Tell ‘em that taking your blood ain’t no joke!
They’ll always want to change your diaper,
They think it’s important to be clean,
What I’ve done to convince them that dirty is better
Was kicking and yelling and making a scene.
And when the tech comes to check your vitals,
Wriggle and squirm until she stops!
Pout and shout until they get the message:
“Don’t let her in, Mom and Pops!”
Oh, those doctors and their rounds,
A team of at least 7 or 8 will come to see,
Mom says I’m popular, I really do hate it,
“How many people want to look at me?”
They say they need your x-rays,
And your blood work in the middle of the night,
Now how do they expect us to get better?
If they don’t let us sleep, isn’t that right?
My next piece of advice, (listen up, its important!)
Don’t breath too many times in a minute,
Cuz then they’ll decide to take a tube and needle,
And your chest, they’ll stick them right in it!
If they take you for a cat scan,
Don’t expect to see any cats,
That was really disappointing,
I wasn’t prepared very well for that.
I’m out of advice, I’m sure you’ll thank me,
For making your stay at Sinai a better experience.
Oh, one more thing, before you leave here
Maybe thank them for making a huge difference!
